Part of CachyOS Wiki Notes. From the official CachyOS wiki (last updated 2026-01-02). This one is about using the wiki itself — metadata, but two bits are genuinely useful.

Navigating the CachyOS Wiki

  • The wiki is written for CachyOS-specific info, but much of it applies to Arch in general — cross-check the Arch Wiki (https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Main_page) for extra context and detail.
  • Feedback: every page has an Edit page button at the bottom linking straight to the file on GitHub; issues go to github.com/CachyOS/wiki.
  • Search first: search bar at the top, right of the CachyOS logo.
  • Sidebars: the left sidebar is the scrollable global table of contents; the right sidebar usually shows the current page’s sections.
  • Interactive elements — two traps when reading or scraping the wiki:
    • Tabs hold related content; check every tab, or you lose half the page.
    • Expandable sections (e.g. “Manual Installation (Advanced)”) hide detail until clicked.
  • Code blocks all have a Copy to clipboard button.
  • Pay attention to notes, tips, warnings and cautions — the page calls them out as the place common pitfalls are documented.
  • Theme selector (Dark/Light/Auto) and language selector live in the header. Non-English translations exist but lag the English pages.

Practical takeaway: any automated extraction of this wiki that does not render tabs and expandables will silently miss content. That happened while building these notes — see the “Gap” callouts in this folder.
